Abby Rushin

Executive Assistant & Project Manager

Abby was born and raised in Arkansas before moving to Williamsburg in 2023. She is a graduate of William & Mary with a Master of Arts in American Studies and the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She spent over ten years working in the non-profit sector in Arkansas and has previously worked for Colonial Williamsburg and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation. She is fortunate to bring her passion for history and helping others into her work day and is always looking for ways to highlight the very reasons she chose Williamsburg as her home away from home.

Abby and her husband, Eren, live in the woods of Williamsburg with their two kitties, Jovi and Stevie. They enjoy reading by candlelight and baking lots of bread together.

What is the best part about working at the Chamber?

I love the feeling of family here. We have such a wonderful team who truly goes above and beyond for each other!

What was your first job?

I was a waitress back in Little Rock, Arkansas! Working in restaurants for most of my youth gave me valuable, professional skills I still use today.

I love Williamsburg because…

My grandfather brought our family here on vacation during my childhood. He always stressed the importance of learning our shared histories, and what better place to call home than Williamsburg? I knew very young that I wanted to live here, and now my dream has come true!
