York-James City-Williamsburg NAACP: Small Business of the Week

It's Friday afternoon, which means it's time to celebrate another #SmallBusinessOfTheWeek. Today we're highlighting the NAACP York-James City-Williamsburg Branch The YJCW NAACP was started back in 1942, and is one of the oldest civil rights organizations in Hampton Roads. They represent all three localities, placing a strong emphasis on working with the youth of our community. In the 60’s and 70’s, the YJCW Branch worked for civil and voter rights on the local level, and when local businesses and retailers began to integrate their staffs, the Branch encouraged and helped its members apply for jobs. You can learn more about their mission on their website https://www.yjcwnaacp.org/
