Record 40 Service Members Awarded Travel Stipends for 2022 Home for the Holidays Campaign

Williamsburg, VA — The Military Affairs Committee of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce coordinated its annual Home for the Holidays campaign, fundraising holiday travel stipends for service members at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown and U.S. Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.

Because of the generosity of many local individuals and businesses, 40 service members received a travel stipend this year to travel home to see family. This is a new record for the Committee, awarding 17 more stipends than in 2021.

Stipends were also awarded in an unphotographed ceremony to service members from the Marine Corps Security Force Regiment at the Naval Weapons Station.
