Greater Williamsburg Business Council to Host Santa Sighting Drive-By Event
Williamsburg, VA — The Greater Williamsburg Business Council will be hosting a Santa Sighting drive-by community event to help welcome Santa to town safely this holiday season.
The event will be held on December 5, 2020 from 8 AM to 11 AM by the Williamsburg Community Building. Vehicles will enter from North Henry Street exiting onto North Boundary Street. A map has been posted to the Facebook event page, and signage will be placed in the surrounding area to assist police in directing traffic.
Families are invited to drive through to see Santa, Mrs. Claus, a Williamsburg Fire Department truck, Fife & Drum, the William & Mary Griffin, interpreters from Colonial Williamsburg, and more. Children are also encouraged to bring their letters to Santa for a safe drop-off with the elves.
“We are excited to safely welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Williamsburg,” says Terry Banez, CEO of the Greater Williamsburg Business Council. “We hope you and your family will join us as we kick off the Christmas season.”
Following the drive-by event, City of Williamsburg Mayor Doug Pons will be welcoming Santa to town on Facebook Live at 12 PM. Santa will share a message with the community and read a classic holiday story for the family.
We want to give a special thank you to our Santa Sponsor, Helen’s Place Photography, and our Story Time Sponsor, Yankee Candle Village, for helping to make this event magical.
